Worbla Mask

Goat mask made from the heat-moldable plastic product Worbla. The. head and horns were first sculpted in clay and the Worbla heated over the sculpt to create the form. The edges are reinforced with millinery wire sandwiched between layers of Worbla, and the ribbons attach to the mask through holes reinforced with grommets.

Goat mask design recreated from a past University of Texas at Austin production of Much Ado About Nothing. Costume design by Lanon Alexander.
